Project Overview

Until this project, no one had studied how data centers impact national parks. I partnered with the National Parks Conservation Association to take their groundbreaking research and turn it into a designed report that decision-makers and general audiences could actually read and understand.

The Results

The goal was to make this research accessible—and it's getting traction. The report has been cited in regional news coverage and shared by outdoor media, bringing visibility to an issue that hadn't been studied before.

The Process

  • Designed the full 44-page report in InDesign with a consistent visual system
  • Created data visualizations that made complex information accessible
  • Paired imagery with intentional layout to keep the report readable and engaging

  • Combed through 9,000+ words to identify key themes, findings, and through-lines
  • Distilled dense technical content into a clear, reader-friendly narrative structure
  • Made editorial decisions about what to keep and cut for a decision-maker audience
